Terry L. Calloway – Bio

Born in August of 1954 Terry Calloway is the younger of two sons of Harry and Betty Calloway. He attended public schools where he grew up in Greenville, South Carolina graduating from high school in 1972 and later marrying his wife Denise in October 1974. Working as a draftsman for J. E. Sirrine Engineering he attended Greenville Technical College with a study emphasis in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

After working on numerous engineering construction projects in South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas, Terry was hired by McNally Pittsburg in 1983 to work as a construction estimator. Settling in Pittsburg, that same year he began continuing studies at Pittsburg State University part-time and completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1988. Terry was awarded the PSU Outstanding Alumnus Award in 1999.

Data Technique, a Kansas based software and consulting firm, was established by Terry and incorporated in October of 1988. Calloway’s company, Data Technique, Inc. was named one of Inc. magazine’s “Fastest Growing Companies in America” in 2006 and has twice been named a Novell Partner of the Year.

Terry’s past and present community and volunteer service positions have included serving on Pittsburg Planning and Zoning Commission, Pittsburg Airport Advisory Board, South Broadway Baptist Church Board of Trustees, Pittsburg State - College of Business Board of Advisors, Pittsburg Rotary Club, and Civil Air Patrol Squadron Commander. Terry has also served on advisory boards of many information technology corporations including CMP Media, Everything Channel and Novell Service Advisor Council. In the early 1990’s he also served on Novell Inc.'s first Internet Advisory Council.
